The Problem is X. The Solution is Mindset.

I’ve been on an intentional personal development journey for quite some time now.  I think I dabbled with it for career purposes awhile back, but it wasn’t until I got serious about losing weight that things started to click for me.  Everyone has different aha! moments, right?  I would’ve loved to have had some of those moments earlier in my life, but what’s the point of dwelling on that?   My transformation program, Your Purpose-Built Life (YPBL) focuses on a variety of tools and techniques to help you shift your current way of thinking to a way that is positive and propels you toward what you want.   I woke…

You, Me, and a Miracle Morning

Join me in a private Facebook group to establish (or renew) a morning routine worth doing! Not a morning person? If you can commit just 30 minutes of your morning for 30 days, you might change your mind. I won’t lie, this might require you to wake 30 minutes earlier than usual if you already have a tight morning schedule. But I promise, it’s worth it! Every day, we’ll spend 5 minutes practicing each of Hal Elrod’s six Life S.A.V.E.R.S to get our day started on a high note. If you haven’t read Hal Elrod’s Miracle Morning, I highly recommend it, but it’s not required to participate in the group.…

Kanban Solution for Managing To Do Lists

I accomplished a few things this weekend. I finally pulled the trigger and published my website, which is just a blog at the moment. I’ve been wresting with all the themes available on WordPress. Most themes will do what I need them to do at the moment. So, rather than seek out all the wiz bang widgets and plugins to make the site shine, I published that thing, so I can move on. I’m feeling so much better after taking that imperfect action. That one action cascaded into a number of others. Now that it’s launched, I wanted to announce it. What a perfect time to design my social media…

    Nourish the Mind

“We become what we think about” What topics consume your thoughts at present? Are you happy with the answer? No? Maybe you’re wrestling with a problem that’s nagging you? Instead of stewing, try this: make a plan for action.  What can you do to improve the situation? By taking action, you remove the thought drama and move forward. Taking action, even if it’s imperfect is better than idling. We choose what we focus on.  Choose to focus on solutions, not problems.  Choose to focus on the heroes in your life, not the villains. “We become what we think about” is such a powerful message.  Pretty sure Buddha said it first, but…

Wake Up and Show Up: Consistency Begins Here

I can’t tell you how long I’ve let my Good For You routine falter. I’ve let days turn to weeks turn to months. It’s a painful admission.  Consistency is fickle and requires a certain level of nurturing and mindfulness.  Consistency will wane if we aren’t also persistent.  To you and to me, I say “keep chasing that wagon!” Here’s where I’m at. Every evening, I set the intent to wake early, workout, and check the other things off my Miracle Morning list. I have years now of cold hard evidence that the routine works for me! No matter what else I accomplish that day, I feel like a million bucks when…

On Prosperity Shaming and 10 Things Rich People Do

Prosperity Shaming   This started as a reflection on the environment of prosperity shaming, but evolved into a list because everyone likes a good list, right? I also thought it was a more positive way to add value instead of just adding another complaint to the pile.   I do have a point to make. And that is this: there should be no shame in being prosperous. Everyone should endeavor to be prosperous. I don’t speak of ill gotten gains acquired through unethical or criminal practices, which seems to be the light in which the 1% is cast.  I do wonder if there are stats on how clean the money…
